"Contemporary practices of avionics testing for aircraft maintenance and repair" conference

On 16-17 October 2013 the conference "Contemporary practices of avionics testing for aircraft maintenance and repair" was held in Taganrog, at the premises of BETA AIR company.

The conference was attended by representatives of the companies from the Russian Helicopters and the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) holdings, State Research Institute of Civil Aviation, Rosoboronexport, the Russian Ministry for Emergencies, Government Airline "Rossia" and other enterprises of the aviation industry.

The participants visited engineering and production facilities of BETA AIR, examined the BETA AIR’s products (ATE-200 system in the workshop and portable versions).

The following reports were presented:

  • "ATE as a functional element of airworthiness information and analytical monitoring. Prospects of development and integration" (by Institute of Civil Aviation)
  • "ATE - Yesterday, today and tomorrow" (by BETA AIR)
  • "ATE application in the Western aviation industry” (by BETA AIR)
  • "Framework of standards for ATE development and application in Russia” (by BETA AIR)
  • "Experience of aircraft components repair with use of ATE" (by IFC Technics)
  • "Experience of ATE-200 system use in workshop of" Rossia" airline (by "Rossia")
  • "Development of test equipment for new types of helicopters after-sale support" (by Ulyanovsk Instrument Manufacturing Design Bureau)
  • ”ATE as the most efficient way to replace obsolete test benches” (by Rosvertol).

The participants has discussed issues of current interest, exchanged views on delivery of contemporary test equipment to aircraft operators and manufacturers and made recommendations for the Russian aviation standards updating.

As a result, the participants recommended to hold the conference on a regular basis.
